A church of mud
with high walls shadowy
and full of spirits,
battle blood that clings
to hands and face
and in their bloody dreams
the stuff of fear wailing
sleep no more.
Macbeth ran from 3 - 20 July at St Peter's Church, Manchester,
as part of the Manchester International Festival
